The Climate-KIC Accelerator, an initiative backed by the European Union, is the largest program in the EU dedicated to accelerating clean technology companies. In Valencia, this program brought together 15 Spanish companies selected for their innovative projects aimed at creating a more sustainable world. These companies, chosen from a pool of 38 candidates, are working on solutions in areas such as water and energy efficiency, smart grids, sustainable transport, and new materials for eco-friendly construction.
As part of the organizational team, efforts were focused on facilitating the program’s comprehensive support for these startups, which included funding opportunities, training, mentorship, and exposure to leading companies across Europe. The program, led by the Institute for Small and Medium Industry of the Generalitat Valenciana (IVACE) and AVAESEN, provided these companies with the tools and resources necessary to turn their innovative ideas into viable, market-ready solutions.
